Temple Restored Ministry has been involved in teaching health principles
from the Bible since 1987 after participating in a "Medical Missionary
Conference" held at Pacific Union College in Angwin California.
In 2000 we began a Medical Missionary Training School in Northern
Wisconsin, held seminars in churches, homes, the public library, and local
communities in the U.S., and overseas.
In 2002 TR contacted a few other ministries with the desire of uniting our
efforts together to organize Medical Missionary Training Seminars once a
year in various states. This dream came to pass and in 2002 we organized
what we call the "Society of Medical Missionary Evangelists" and held our
first Annual Medical Missionary Symposium in Virginia. SOMME is now going
to host its "Seventh Annual Medical Missionary Symposium" in Black
Mountain, North Carolina.
The series of meetings will be a spiritual time where both medical
professionals and lay missionary workers who have been called into health
evangelism, and those who want to learn can attend classes and
workshops designed to prepare them for the closing work.
The Medical Missionary Symposium has two objectives. It is designed to
provide an educational forum for Medical Missionary Workers who want to
advance the Third Angel's Message as well as build a spirit-guided informal
network among evangelistic minded health educators and practitioners.
For those who are already Medical Missionaries, we invite you to come learn
and share your testimonies and experiences with other Medical Missionaries.
For those who know nothing about Medical Missionary Work, and would like
to learn and put what you've learned to use in your home, we invite you
to come as well. You will not be disappointed, everyone goes away with
something new and exciting!
