We are happy to report that we have begun making bricks for the construction of the Temple Restored Bible
Training Facility, thirty minutes outside of downtown Accra, the capitol of Ghana.
Our goal is to bring college-level instruction on a wide range of subjects to the Pastors, Bible Workers, Health
Workers and Literature Evangelists who are responsible for enlarging the borders of God's Church. These
dedicated, but impoverished workers cannot afford to attend formal Universities. They do not have access to the
many free seminars and specialized Camp Meetings that are so common here in America. They cannot afford to
attend school here, so we plan by God's grace to bring the school to them. With the Lord's blessing we intend
to build a two-story facility that can house 10-15 students with about six full time staff members. Then we plan
to schedule instructors from America and Europe to teach in one, two and four week blocks. We intend to offer
classes in Evangelism, Prophecy, Righteousness by Faith, the Sanctuary Message, How to Study the Bible, How to
Answer Objections, Anatomy and Physiology, Hydrotherapy, Massage, Simple Natural Remedies, Leadership Skills
and more.
The first building being erected is the office/administration building, which will also house a few workers.
The least expensive way to construct a cement block
building is to hire laborers to make your own cement
bricks. We have ordered three large truck loads of sand.
The brick-makers mix the sand with cement and water
on the ground.
It is back-breaking labor in the hot tropical sun. The correct ratio of sand to cement is first mixed dry with shovels. Only a minimal amount of water is added which produces a final mixture that appears too dry and crumbly.
|
After a short period of drying the mould is dumped out on the ground or atop other green bricks. They will have to cure in the sun for 3 weeks before they will be hard enough for construction.
|
After the water is added the moist mixture of sand and cement is shoveled and tamped into a metal mould to insure density and uniformity.

Construction Begins on Bible Training Facility

"Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord." Haggai 1:8
|
The neighboring orphanage is storing our cement bags for us.
Each bag costs approximately $8.00 U.S. Dollars. For a
donation of $25.00 you can buy three bags of cement which
will make 105 blocks for a school where Pastors and Bible
Workers can learn the Gospel Message more completely. We
will need a minimum of 4000 blocks for this first building.
We have already planted a few papaya trees and other
vegetables. Because of the rich soil and tropical
temperature fruit trees can grow up and start bearing
in two years or less.
If the Lord has placed a desire in your heart to help build up the work in Africa please consider setting aside $25.00. $50.00 or
$100.00 per month to buy sand and cement bags to make bricks for the Bible Training Facility. Many people acquire $25.00 worth
of loose change every month. We are looking for Churches or families that are willing to have periodic yard sale for the work in
Africa. If local advertisement is taken out in newspapers or bulletin boards, many people will donate yard sale items for a worthy
cause. In this way large sums of money can be raised from items that were classed as "extra" or as "junk". Some people have
inoperable cars that could be easily turned into cash for the Bible Training Facility. Perhaps you are on of those people who has a
vehicle just waiting to be "liquidated" for the Lord's work.

Temple Restored Bible Training School Update
|
On April 14th the Lord graciously allowed
John to arrive safely in Ghana to begin the
work of erecting the first building for the
Bible Training School on TR’s property in
Anomawobi.
This two story building will be approximately
26 by 50 feet. The first floor of this building
will have an office for Temple Restored
staff, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and two
large bedrooms for staff and visiting
teachers. The upper level will have a dorm
with bathrooms to house students, and a
large open area to use as a classroom and
multi-purpose center. This facility will be
used to bring college-level instruction on a
wide range of subjects to the Pastors, Bible
Workers, Health Workers and Literature
Evangelists who are dedicated to carrying
the message of the Everlasting gospel to
those still in darkness.
The training Temple Restored provides will
not be limited to those in Ghana only, but
will be for those in other countries in the
continent of Africa. Our goal is to provide
free education to impoverished workers
who cannot afford to attend formal
Universities.
As stated above, TR intends to offer classes
in Evangelism, Prophecy, Righteousness by
Faith, the Sanctuary Message, How to Study
the Bible, How to Answer Objections,
Anatomy and Physiology, Hydrotherapy,
Massage, Simple Natural Remedies,
Leadership Skills and more.
This project is in its initial phase and we
hope to have the first building completed
within the next six months or sooner.
However, we still have many needs in order
to bring this to completion. We ask that you
would join us in prayer that the Lord would
provide for this work to continue to go
forward and be completed in a timely
manner.
The foundation trenches are 3 feet deep. Concrete
will be mixed by hand and poured into the bottom. Six
inch blocks will raise the foundation above ground level.
Here are just some of the 900 blocks that will be used
in the foundation. After 72 hours of curing in the hot
sun they are ready to bear weight.
We are pleased to report that the walls of the first floor of our Bible Training School are
almost half way up! We were disappointed to discover that the handmade blocks that
were made this past summer, did not have enough strength for a two story building. So
we sold them, purchased a manual brick-making machine and are now making bricks which
are more tightly compacted and more uniform.
John will be leaving for a 30-day trip to Kenya and Malawi on Nov. 9th. He and Patrick
Jones will be conducting a one-week Prophecy – Sanctuary Message School in each
country. On this trip John will interview possible students for the first 10-12 month School
Year. The Malawi training is expected to have students from Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia
and South Africa.
November 2009 TR School Update
|
Here is one of the blueprint drawings of our first school
building. The 26 by 50ft. two story building will have an
office and staff housing apartment on the first floor, with
classroom and student housing upstairs. The building will
have four bathrooms.
This is our brick-making machine. The machine is top
loaded with the damp sand and cement mix, then by
manipulating the levers the brick is tightly
compressed. It is then carried away on a flat board
and set in the sun to cure.
Here is a view of where the construction has reached as
of the first week of November 2009. The slots in the
brick walls are where concrete pillars will be later poured
to give the building stability and strength in case of an
earthquake.
Here is the opening which will eventually be the rear
entrance to the 2500 sq. ft. building. This entrance
opens into a small kitchen. The gray pipe is part of the
plumbing that will come down from the second floor.
