Perhaps the most valuable natural resource in Africa
is their amazing women. These beautiful Church
sisters carried countless buckets and pans of water
and sand in the hot sun all day long in order to
make bricks and mortar for construction.
Although it had no glass or screen in the
windows, the miracle Church had a concrete floor,
all of its walls erected and a metal roof completed
within the three week deadline. Part of the
interior and exterior walls were plastered. Here
you can see that the cement plastering around
the front windows was not completely dry when
we had our first Sabbath service Nov. 25th, 2006.
The children were VERY HAPPY to have
escaped out of the dirt floor elementary
school classroom where they had been
meeting for the last three years. We
hope to soon have a small library of
Christian books, a locking storage cabinet
and a wide assortment of Bible teaching
materials for the dedicated teachers who
are working with them.
Church members came from many other
congregations to see the "Miracle Church". Here
they are raising the new Church sign and dropping
it in the ground during the dedicatory service.
These are all the Church members who participated
in the construction. The picture also includes four
local ladies who were hired to help, and decided to
join us for Church that Sabbath morning.
We had over 600 adults attend the two
nights of public AIDS education in the
market square. Here are some of the
over 300 elementary and middle school
children who packed into the Methodist
School Chapel to watch a power point
program on AIDS which used children
from this school as models. The program
tactfully discussed methods of transmission
and showed real Africans who are dying of
the disease. We had the children make
pledges to stay out of boyfriend- girlfriend
relationships and keep themselves pure for
Christ, while in this educational session.
The Evangelistic campaign in the small town
of Sefwi Bekwai resulted in a small number of
people making decisions to become part of
the commandment-keeping people of God.
Although we only had seven adults and four
children for our first Sabbath service this
congregation now averages about 18 people
every Sabbath.
John (a Bible Worker) Samuel Ofei (a former
Sunday Pastor) and Pastor Nyanor (the District
Pastor over the new Church) are continuing to
study together and hunt up new possible
members in Sefwi Bekwai. Since the end of
2006 Pastor Nyanor has done another
Evangelistic series in this town and has planted
(by God's grace) two other new Churches in his
district in Western Ghana.
In November 2006 the Temple Restored team
--with six Americans and one Ghanaian (Gabriel
Brew)-- set out to conduct a public Evangelistic
series, perform community AIDS education and
build a small cement block Church in the West
African country of Ghana. Though we passed
through "much tribulation" the Lord crowned
each endeavor with great success!
The Republic of Ghana is a small English speaking
country approximately the size of Oregon. The
name Ghana means "warrior king". It was the
first sub-Saharan country to obtain
independence from colonial rule (March 6th,
1957). The country has a population of 22
million and although it has a reported annual per
capita income of $2600.00, the most Ghanaians
struggle to subsist on one or two dollars a day.
The country is 63% Christian, 21% indigenous
religions and 16% Muslim.
Vondell Stephenson was unable to go on this
trip. John and Windy are not pictured above.
Gabriel is a local Evangelist who lives in Accra.
Foreign missionary work is always fraught with many
unusual trials. Here the truck which was to bring the
sand to make bricks is stuck in the mud. The driver
refused to return until we fixed this road.
The children's Bible class was too small so here
the young men are digging foundation trenches
to add another 100 sq. feet to their meeting
place.
None of the locals initially believed that a
Church could be built in 3 weeks. But we
hired 4 masons and 8 carpenters and worked
by their side in order to make rapid progress.
Ghana is located on the gulf of Guinea only a few
degrees north of the equator. It is bordered by
Cote D'ivoire on the West, Burkina Faso on the
North and Togo on the East.

Stone Cave Camp Meeting - Dunlap, Tennessee - June 20th-24th, 2007
|
The third week of June found Temple Restored Ministry in Dunlap Tennessee, approximately an hour North of Chattanooga. The Camp Meeting was sponsored by the “Healthful Living Ministries; the theme was: “The Preparation for the Time of Trouble”. There were approximately 60- 75 people in attendance Wednesday and Thursday with the numbers swelling to 150-200 on Friday and Sabbath. There were 14 different speakers covering such topics as: The New World Order, Organic Gardening, Avoiding GMO Food, Outdoor Shelters, Natural First Aid, Fire Safety, Water Purification, Edible Plants, Health Reform, Food Combining, Raw Food Sprouting, Hydrotherapy, Liver Cleansing and more. Windy Skeete and Nora Ricono conducted an unrecorded, all-female class on Women’s Diseases and Issues. While a third of their time was spent discussing the external factors that adversely impact women’s health, such as: restrictive clothing, unhealthful under-garments, using synthetic estrogen, and intemperance in the marriage relationship, the majority of the time was spent addressing heart issues. With the help of tear-filled testimonies, Windy and Nora explored how leaving bitterness, anger, resentment, grief and emotional pain unaddressed, eventually erodes the emotional and spiritual stability of the Church-going woman. They emphasized that “nine-tenths of all disease has its foundation in the mind”, yet most Women’s Meetings are devoted to discussing the external factors which lie at the root of 10% of the difficulties that women experience. John shared five color-slide presentations on the preparation for the Time of Trouble. The first program entitled: “The Incredible Crucible” examined the most common Hebrew and Greek words used for trouble and tribulation in the Scriptures, tsarah (tightness) and thilipsis (pressure). Unless we are daily learning how to maintain a calm, cheerful spirit while under tight, pressure-filled conditions we are not preparing for the great future crisis. The Scriptural framework for this study came out of Daniel 12:1-10 where it reveals a list of things that the wise will understand. This passage of Scripture mentions: the time of trouble, Michael standing up, the two resurrections, and perhaps most importantly, a large number of people being tried, purified and made white, while the wicked fail to understand these important things. This presentation further explored:
|
the order of events, the purpose and the description of the "time of trouble" (TOT).
Thursday evening’s program was entitled: “The Privilege of His Presence”. This was a study
on how the mental, physical and spiritual obstacles that the righteous must overcome in the
last days can only be met successfully IF God’s presence is with them. The whole division
of Psalm 114 was written to explain how the obstructing hills and mountains of difficulties
will flee at God’s presence. In this study it was noted how four times in Psalm 37:39,40 God
promises to deliver “the righteous” during the TOT. We explored how the Bible clearly
teaches that Christ perfect righteousness includes more than conversion (Justification Rom.
5:1). Those who will stand triumphantly through the great tribulation will also grow in grace
(Sanctification 2Thes. 2:12,13) and eventually become “just like Jesus” (perfection Ephes. 4:
11-13). In Thursday's evenings presentation the practical process of becoming righteous
was distilled down to three important habits: getting connected to God daily in quality
private devotional time, employing Scripture promises in the daily warfare with temptation
and “self”, and learning to listen to God’s voice speaking in our conscience and in the
providential workings taking place all around us.
Friday night’s program entitled: “Fit for the Fight” the subject was the physical preparation
for the coming crisis. The key text was 2Cor. 7:1 where Paul links “perfecting holiness”
with the “cleansing of the flesh”. This study examined how both man’s mental and spiritual
experience have their foundation in the physical life. The people's attention was pointed to
the fact that Jesus devoted more of His time to healing the sick then to preaching, because
when physical health is lacking man cannot understand or perform his obligation to himself,
his fellow man or his Creator. This evening it was mentioned how scientific studies of high
altitude mountain climbers reveal that mental errors can often be traced to physiological
reasons. Church saints pondered how hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), hypothermia ( low
body temperature) and hypoxia (insufficient oxygen) all have physical solutions.
Over and over it was noted how the treatment of the body affects the character and behavior.
This color slide sermon examined how studies done with probationers and prison populations
prove that certain diets are directly linked with “depression… severe mood swings, and angry,
anti-social behavior”.
The fourth part of the series was entitled: “Money Matters”. Where time was spent reviewing
the key components of the prophecy in Rev. 13 where the Mark of the Beast is enforced by
restrictions on buying and selling Rev. 13:16,17. In this sermon John touched on the OT
example of Satan’s agents creating an “artificial famine” in order to destroy God’s people and
bring and end to the pure of worship of God in the ancient Jewish Temple 2Kings 25:1-11. This
program examined the importance of how God's children must gain control of their TIME in
order to prepare for the last crisis. This study explored how the Gospel includes the weaning of
the affections from the things of the world Col 3:1-3; Eccles 4:6. It was discussed how credit
and debt supply the fuel for the furnace of materialism, and how the Scriptures commands us
to be debt free Pro. 22:7; Rom. 13:8. This presentation stressed the importance of those
preparing for the last crisis, to get rid of excess "things" and work to get their possessions in as
“small a circle as possible”.
The last program in the series was entitled: “Hills of Hope”. This sermon examined how a
person's place of residence strongly impacts their mental and spiritual health. The study opened
by noting how Zacchaeus had to change his “physical location” to get a clearer view of Jesus
Luke 19:1-5. This program highlighted how God pronounced a woe on God’s people living in
tight quarters Isa. 5:8. It carefully analyzed the story of Lot’s sojourn down into Sodom Gen. 13:
10-13 and how his unfortunate experience will parallel many in the close of time Gen.19:12-26.
The program closed by exploring how the rigors and challenges of rural living, develop
patience, courage, fortitude, and several other traits of character necessary to pass through
difficult times.
Throughout the series, those that attended were challenged to make personal decisions in the
way they live day by day, so that by God's grace, the great crisis will not find them unready.
Like David, God's people must daily learn to
cooperate with God as He works to bring
them into a "large place" Psa. 18:16-19;
Psa. 31:4-8.
Many people emphasize God accounting
the repentant sinner righteous while failing
to note that He also wants to also MAKE
them righteous 1John 3:7,8; Acts 10:34,35.
In practical terms, we receive Jesus'
righteous life into our experience by: 1)
getting connected to God through prayer,
2) bringing the principles of the Word into
every aspect of our life and 3) hearkening
moment by moment to the whispering of
His Spirit in our mind.
The Camp Meeting attendees came from all
over the Southern and Eastern States.
Some stayed in homes, others in tents, and
still others in campers and recreational
vehicles.
One afternoon was highlighted with a
musical concert. There were piano and violin
duets, flute and guitar solos, choir selections
and even a men's chorus. Above you can
see the men's quartet.
In Michio Kushi's "Crime and Diet" we
learned that hypoglycemia is often the
result of eating large amounts of refined
white sugar. The resulting spike in blood
sugar causes the pancreas to produce
excessive amounts of insulin. In a study
with incarcerated juveniles in Tidewater
VA there was a documented 45% drop
in misbehavior that resulted in
institutional discipline among detainees
on a low sugar diet. This helps to explain
why it is that Christians often cannot
obey God when they eat the wrong
things.
Part of the preparation for the great
tribulation of the last days will include
familiarization of basic wilderness survival
skills where God has a place prepared for
us Rev. 12:6,14. We should now be
learning the difference between
poisonous and edible plants, how to start
a fire without matches, and how to
construct shelters from things we
discover out in nature.
In the last days the mark of
the beast will be enforced
by the controlling of "buying
and selling". As he has done
all through history, Satan
will create an artificial famine
Judges 6:1-4.
One modern sage describing our society
said: "Things are in the saddle riding
man." Although the Bible condemns it,
the free use of credit has enabled man
to satisfy his lust for things. This debt
makes man into an economic slave
where his time is not his own 2Kings
1-7. Few can devote several hours a day
to prayer, studying God's Word and
active Christian service.
Like Lot, many today are only
considering their temporal
prosperity and convenience
when choosing a place to live.
The results will be equally
disastrous. The necessity of
learning how to grow healthful
food, the avoidance of
exposure to wicked influences,
the development of character
through the hardships of
country living are all good
reasons to move away from
the busy centers of population
Gen, 12:1,2; Isa. 30:15; Matt.
2:15.
After an uneventful nine hour plane ride to Amsterdam, then a quick
hop to Heathrow International Airport in London, I found myself in the
delightful company of Brother and Sister Rose, who taxied me through
the beautiful rustic countryside to our meeting place in Houghton
England.
In this picturesque hamlet near a water driven grain mill I had the
privilege of meeting our workshop coordinators Mark and Yvonne
London who planned and sponsored our four-day "Crash Course in
Medical Missionary Work". This 26-hour seminar on the fundamentals of
Health Evangelism included color slide lectures, personal tutoring and
laboratory assignments.
We began by carefully examining the Biblical basis for Christ's method of
evangelizing --teaching, preaching and healing. We then quickly
examined the four foundation stones of preventing illness --improving
Circulation, Elimination, Nutrition and Emotional Hygiene. From Tuesday
to Friday we plowed through a series of intense lectures and
"hands-on" practical workshops. After examining some of the scientific

On the last day of a busy week we took this picture of the superb
students who completed the Health Evangelism training course.
The four day Medical Missionary training was followed by a three-day camp meeting on the Sanctuary Message entitled:
"Soldiers of His Sanctuary: Acquiring the Experience Necessary to be a Soldier in God's Army". There were approximately
100 people in attendance from all over the UK.
Friday Evening's slide program was entitled: "False Temples and Lying Priests: Satan's Long Campaign Against the
Sanctuary Message" The three programs on Sabbath were entitled: "What Does the Word Atonement Mean? "The
Great Events in the Plan of Redemption" The Experiences in the Plan of Redemption as Outlined in the Sanctuary". On
Sunday morning we had two more meetings. One entitled: "The Sanctuary and the Science of Private Devotions" and
"Perfection, The Scapegoat and the Fit Man".
Usually within 8-10 minutes ice massage will pass through
several stages --cold, burning, aching then numbing. It is used
for painful muscles and other soft tissue structures.
During our herbal preparation workshop the kitchen was alive
with activity. The onion syrup, bark simmering, pill baking and
infusion preparations were all done here.
Here two students practice the extremely useful "potato
poultice". The common white potato can be grated into fine mush
and applied to bruises, boils and sprains. It is excellent for
debriding abrasions where sand and has been embedded.
By combining various powdered herbs with water and a binder,
herbal pills of various sizes can be made. The homemade herbal
pills are then placed on a cookie sheet and dried at a low
temperature in the oven. Pills make herbs easy to transport
while giving the preparer assurance of what is actually in the
supplement he is taking.
God intends that His children grow up from being spiritual
children, to adults and finally become soldiers in His army. The
Gospel as revealed in OT types and shadows tells us exactly
how to acquire the Gospel armor of Ephesians chapter six.
The word Atonement occurs 81 times in the Bible (KJV). Eighty
of the references are in the OT. This is where you have to go in
order to understand Romans 5:11. In one of our meetings we
examined how the Hebrew word for Atonement is used in the
Scriptures to include a broad work. In order to be covered God
actually pardons, purifies, re-constructs and unites His people.

rational for the use of water in treating disease. We
actually practiced ice massage, steam Inhalation, and
an herbal hot foot bath. The wet sheet pack
demonstration was both cold and very informative.
After reviewing the divine endorsement for the use of
herbs we learned some of the many therapeutic
actions of plants and how they can be organized into
eleven different herbal therapies. In our laboratory
time for medicinal plants the students made a large
variety of herbal preparations. The class broke up into
teams of 2 and 3 and prepared: Infusions, Decoctions,
Capsules, Pills, Extracts, Boluses and Syrups.
Our Poulticing workshop explored the indications and
rational for plasters made from charcoal, potato, aloe
vera, cabbage with epsom salt, clay, onion and garlic.
Wednesday evening we had an unscheduled class on
how to conduct a three-day home cleansing program
with grape juice and psyllium seed husks.
We brought our four day seminar to a climax on Friday
morning with a color slide program on the history of
the false system of healing entitled: "Battle for the
Body". In this program we traced the serpent symbol
employed in the staff of Aesculapius and the caduceus
from the Eden up through Babylon, Asia Minor, Greece
Rome up through modern times.

a meeting devoted to a few of
the challenges that women
have to face in their spiritual,

this "women-only" meeting was
punctuated by stirring
testimonies of victory.
The 50 million people of
England constitute 83%
of the total United
Kingdom population.
Although it has a strong
Christian history England
is largely categorized as a
secular country. An EU
poll of 2005 showed
that only 38% of people
in the UK believe in God,
while 40% believe in
"some sort of spirit or life
force". 20% of the UK
population do not
believe in either.
This large percentage of
unbelievers, coupled
with faith-numbing
economic prosperity and
a long history of religious
controversy makes this
country one of the most
difficult mission fields in
Europe.
Temple Restored - Remnant Church Camp Meeting Indianapolis, Indiana June 19th-22nd, 2008
|
Temple Restored Ministry had its
third annual Camp Meeting in
conjunction with Remnant
Church on the third weekend of
June 2008. The theme of
"Righteousness by Faith" was
presented by Pastor Maurice
Berry, Gerald Coleman, John
Barnette and John Skeete. As a
highlight of our Sabbath
afternoon sacred concert, JR
Ryder gave a presentation on
the differences between worldly
and sacred music.
Each morning began with a 50
minute "Power Hour" where
Shelem Flemons and his sister Paula Irby led out in song,
testimonies and prayer. During the four-day weekend the Camp
Meeting attendees learned a six-part mini-Bible study on
"Righteousness by Faith" and prayed that the Lord would bring
someone across their path who needed a study on faith-inspired
victorious living.
Those in attendance will testify that International Evangelist
Maurice Berry was used by God to deliver several power-packed
messages on the prophetic destiny of the Advent Movement and
the lateness of the hour. He preached on both the mechanics of
spiritual growth and its absolute necessity at the close of this
earth's history in sermons with such titles as: "The Sermon on
the Mount and the Sanctuary", "Winds of Change in America"
and "The Close of Probation Without an Intercessor". In his
meetings, Scripture was linked with Scripture with power and
clarity such is as rarely seen in modern day preaching.
Pastor Berry showed video clips in his last sermon entitled: "Thou
Must Prophesy Again" which exposed the explosion of spiritualism
in media. The interest was so high that after the Camp Meeting
was over people had to be urged to leave so that we secure
the facility. May God keep our interest in this message peaked as
the time of crisis approaches.
Here are just part of the team that made our Camp Meeting a spiritual
success. The speakers were assisted by greeters, musicians, cooks,
ushers, video personnel and behind the scenes coordinators.
The ten scheduled sermons in four days covered the experiences of
Justification, Sanctification and The Sealing as it relates to the last days.
Employing his distinctive style of as asking questions, then
letting the Bible answer them, Pastor Berry plowed through
60 to 70 Bible texts per sermon. The appeals were riveting.
The enemy worked feverishly to disrupt the Camp Meeting even
causing us to change venues one week before the meetings began
but God overturned his efforts. Sabbath found our meeting hall full.

amazing.
On April 23rd-27th 2008 we held our 7th Annual Medical
Missionary Symposium in Black Mountain, NC. The theme of
the four-day seminar was “Take it Home and Do It” where
we tried to emphasize the “hands-on” aspect of the
training. Our guest instructors for this Symposium (not
pictured at right) were Dr. Agatha Thrash and midwife
Patti Barnes. Dr. Thrash taught and demonstrated classes
on “Suturing”, “Bone Setting”, and “Splinting”. Patti Barnes
gave practical instruction on “Emergency Child Birth”. We
also had EMT’s Joel and Kim Wands, who taught special
classes on “Natural First Aid”. Windy taught classes on
Herbal Preparations and Women’s Issues while John talked
on Men’s Issues, Exercise and Appetite’s Relation to
Spirituality. There were a wide variety of additional
meetings on such topics as: Poulticing, How to Conduct a
Cooking School, Healing Foods, Designing a Natural
Program for Cancer, Hydrotherapy and The Battle of the
Higher and Lower Powers of the Mind. The seminar had
approximately 60 people during the week and about 100
on Sabbath.
On the last day of the Symposium the speakers and about 20 of the
attendees put on an Eight Laws Health Fair in a small strip mall near
Ashville North Carolina. We had dozens of local people have short
health consultations and then travel from one station to another. The
people received handouts and participated in a variety of activities at
each station. Windy and another sister from Brooklyn New York
manned the Pure Air booth where the people tested their exhalation
capacity with a spirometer.
John had the Exercise booth where there was testing for body fat
percentage, grip strength, flexibility and upper body strength
(push-ups). It was amazing to see how the out of shape college
students, middle aged soccer moms and the elderly really pushed
themselves in the push-up test. This Health Fair really opened up some
wonderful conversations on diet, exercise and the necessity of being
better stewards of our body temples. The various health activities at
each booth really broke down the prejudice and people were eager to
discover what new activity they would be asked to do at the next
booth. As a result a good bit of literature was distributed on a wide
variety of health and spiritual topics.

The President of the Greater NY
Conference, Richard Marker, prevailed on
the SOMME to conduct a five day Med.
Miss training session approximately 70
miles north of NY City.
The meetings from Wednesday to Friday
afternoon were attended by
approximately 50 people with the
attendance swelling to just above a
hundred Friday evening through Sunday.
The panel of speakers covered such
diverse subjects as: The Natural Approach
to Cancer. How to Eliminate Diabetes.
Organic Gardening, Poultices, Suturing,
Vegan Cooking, Emergency Assessment,
Women's Health and much more.
John shared on Herbal Preparations,
Exercises for Strength and Cardio Fitness,
Righteousness by Faith (two parts) and Men's
Health.
John also assisted Sebastian Teh (pictured
above 3rd from right) in leading an "all night
prayer meeting" where we studied the Bible,
The Ministry of Healing and shared testimonies
between seasons of prayer. This late night
meeting ran from 9:00pm until 3:00am.
There were Health Consultations in the late
afternoon and a lively interchange of ideas
during the vegan meals. Many of the
Symposium attendees were from out of state
and there was an overwhelming response at
"appeal time" for soldiers to reconsecrate
themselves to resurrecting this lost tool to win
souls for the Master. There is a possibility that
NY will be an annual base for continual MM
training. Many doors are open in NY Churches.
Tony and Nora Ricono gave a Healthful Vegan
Cooking class. They explored the nutritional
benefits of many uncommon fruits and grains.
Sanctuary Seminar at Truth for This Time Ministries Chicago, Illinois November 28th and 29th 2008
|
Pastor Willie Grayson leads out at this
Present Truth Church which has been
meeting for approximately three years
in the Chicago area.
Friday evening we began our weekend "Soldiers of His Sanctuary" Seminar
with about twenty precious souls. This initial 60-minute program entitled:
"False Temples and Lying Priests" was designed to show how important the
Sanctuary Message is by illustrating to what lengths Satan has gone to
counterfeit it. In the first half of the presentation we examined Satan's
scheme to destroy this important doctrine in OT times through corrupting the
priesthood and the Temple symbolism. God could not preserve a corrupt
representation indefinitely. Satan temporarily triumphed when the OT Temple
was invaded and destroyed. The second half of the program was devoted to
exposing the enemies change in plans after God no longer had a Temple on
earth. We examinedhow the Roman Catholic, Mormon and United Nations
religions attempt to counterfeit the Bible Sanctuary symbolism and teachings.
Sabbath morning we were joined by a good number of our church family
which attend "Remnant Church" in Indianapolis Indiana. Our 10:00AM Bible
study period was spent learning seven Bible Texts that expound on the true
purpose of the Sanctuary Message. After reviewing as a group, we had the
entire Church break up into pairs and quiz each other on the deep purpose of
the Plan of Redemption as revealed in the OT types and shadows.
In this picture we see some of the brothers and sisters leaning
in an interactive way how to give an answer for their faith.
The 11:00 hour message was
devoted to studying the
revelation of God's character in
the six great Events in the Plan
of Redemption. We examined in
the Scriptures how God's
redemptive intervention actually
reveals His humility,
self-sacrificing nature,
persistence, love, justice and
benevolence.
After a wonderful vegetarian
meal we had the final meeting
of the seminar on the Sanctuary
Experiences we all must pass
through in our journey from our
tent to God's throne.
Temple Restored Ministry Teams up with others to put on South Suburban College First HIV/AIDS Prevention Program South Holland, Illinois December 1st, 2008

Here are fifteen of the eighteen student volunteers from Valerie Wise-Burrell and Dr. Theresa
Dixon's Human Services classes. These students came out on their own time to set up,
distribute pledge cards and act as ushers for the HIV/AIDS Prevention program. Some of the
students read AIDS poetry or participated in an AIDS Prevention skit put on in the auditorium.
Pictured above are some of the fifty plus students that came from Rosa Parks Middle School to
join the Prevention Program at the College. Some of the content was geared for this age
group. Also in attendance were many other Junior College students, staff and faculty.
Here is Valerie Wise-Burrell (on the left) and Dr. Theresa Dixon standing on
either side of the charcoal mural that was drawn live (in 40 minutes) by
graphic arts professor Sergio Gomez while music played. This mural was done
just prior to the start of our program much to the delight of all in attendance.

It is estimated that there are 40,000 HIV positive people in Illinois.
December 1st is observed annually as "World AIDS
Day" all around the globe. The 2008 world theme
was the triple phrase: "Take the Lead. Stop AIDS.
Keep the Promise."
Two of the Human Services professors at South
Suburban College in southern Cook County allowed
Temple Restored Ministry to assist in planning and
putting on the first HIV/AIDS Prevention at the
College.
Various anti-AIDS video clips from the internet
were interspersed with lectures, poetry and drama
to create a compelling program which outlined the
scope and seriousness of the burgeoning incidence
of infection in Chicago area.
Andrea Deese-Shephard, a veteran HIV counselor
gave a stirring appeal for abstinence and safer
practices from her perspective of working with
many infected people in the local community.
John's 24-minute powerpoint presentation was
entitled: "Slaying Goliath: The Philosophy, Agents
and Strategies of Successful Prevention". He
showed paintings and actual photos of the virus,
explained how infection occurs and progresses and
showed pictures of the effects of some of
resulting AIDS Defining Illnesses. After reviewing
some national and local statistics, John summarized
the elements of some of the CDC approved
preventions programs across the country. Dr. Dixon
closed with an appeal for decisions while student
helpers handed out pledge cards for people to sign.
By Sabbath afternoon we were blessed to have
about fifty souls who were eager to learn more
of the practical lessons in victorious living.

condensed version of the "Soldiers of His
Sanctuary" seminar. Approximately 25 precious
souls came out to hear the introductory
message: "False Temples and Lying Priests".
About 50 saints came out to hear Sabbath
morning's message as we march through two
lengthy programs on The Events and then The
Experiences of the Sanctuary.
After lunch, John shared a new Sanctuary
power point program entitled:"Golden Boards
and Living Stones: Sanctuary Lessons on
Character Development.

In this program we explored the process of how the OT workman transformed a thorn covered, crooked-limb shittah tree (acacia) into a tall, straight
gold covered board. The golden boards that formed the walls of God's Tabernacle are actually rectangular pillars which represent those particular
spiritual soldiers who enter into the Holy and Most Holy Place experience. This study examined how the rigorous process of re-fabricating these boards
parallels the spiritual work that God has to do in our souls (Isa. 40:3) in order for us to abide in His presence. We looked at many Bible texts that show
that Christ our High Priest is now our Master Builder. After the 40-minute slide program, the congregation immediately divided up by families and filled
out a Character Assessment worksheet where each person evaluated themselves according to 16 different character traits. There was group
discussion on how the gold of Christ's character is to completely cover us so that there is no wood (humanity) seen, just the lovely character of Jesus.
The end of last year found John at Sanctuary Camp Meeting in the
Philippines. Jim Tegala and Willie Manipol (pictured at right) were the
Camp Meeting organizers. The meetings were well attended with
approximately 200 saints attending the four day event in a very nice
rented hotel conference room.
Unfortunately about half way through the meetings I got extremely
sick with fever, weakness and dizziness. And near the end of the
week was almost incapacitated. John was scheduled to conduct a five
day Health Training seminar with Sebastian Teh after the Camp
Meeting, but became so ill, that he had to return home early. Only
after battling the unknown tropical virus for ten days with raw juices,
steam baths, enemas, herbal teas etc did the sickness abate.
We are happy to report that though he lost 15 pounds in the battle
John has made a full recovery and is back on the battlefield.
Weekend Health Seminar and Community Health Fair Remnant Church March 27th-29th, 2009 Indianapolis, Indiana
|
Temple Restored Teaching at M.E.E.T. Ministry School Huntingdon, Tennessee March 30th- April 2nd 2009
|

The end of March found Windy and John back in Indianapolis for another four-part Health
Seminar. John opened on Friday evening with a 75-minute slide program entitled: "Battle for
the Body" where he traced out the ancient roots of concepts which are prevalent in allopathic
medicine. Saturday morning's two messages were on the deeper meaning of your body being
a temple and how three OT Kings teach us HOW we are to transform our polluted body
temples into clean, restored temples; and more importantly WHY.
On Saturday afternoon Windy gave a 90 minute presentation entitled: "Cleansing for Health
and Holiness" which covered what the Bible says about the relationship of an internally clean
body with our spiritual walk. She briefly explained the anatomy and function of the various
organs of elimination, as well as how each Church member can conduct their own simple
"cleansing program" in the privacy of their own home. The question and answer period was so
lively that she finally had to end the meeting with hands still in the air.
Community Health Fair at Public Indoor Mall Indianapolis, Indiana Sunday March 29th, 2009
|
The climax of the weekend was a Health Outreach project at an indoor mall in West Indianapolis.
The Church was given approximately four hours of training where they were taught to man eight
stations for health assessment. The free non-medical health screening took about 20 minutes for the
participants to complete. Each brave soul carried an information sheet from station to station where
church members would give them various physical tests, information and encouragement. At the
final station the participants were offered some spiritual counseling, Christian and health literature
and prayer for any problem for which they requested.
The Free Health Fair ran from 11:00am - 3:00pm and the enemy tried his best to discourage. The
rain storm which had arrived on Saturday turned to freezing rain, mixed with snow and wind. This
kept the number of people at the mall unusually low, yet the Lord blessed anyway. The Spanish
translators were kept very busy and a handful of requests came in for written Bible Studies.

Brother Chuck actively recruited people who
were shopping in the mall to come get their
free health testing. He was enthusiastic and
very persuasive.
Sister Cheryl (with clipboard) Courtney
(seated) and Brother J.R. recorded height,
weight, BMI, and other basic information.
At the next station the participants did a
maximum push-up test (men's style and
women's style). They were then rated by
sex and age against a national average.
After tests for flexibility and hand grip
strength, the participants used a spirometer
to test peak flow of forced exhalation. This
test gives a general rating of lung function.
Some participants did very well when
compared to national averages for sex, age
and height. We also had a lung test with
difficult balloons to blow up. Few could do it.
Here Brother J.R. takes both the waist and
hip measurement. Studies show that their
proportions are related to the incidence of
specific diseases in men and women
At the next station folks were treated to a
sample of vegetarian sausage, chicken and
barbecue ribs. They were also challenged with
a test of correctly naming the body organs.
A very popular station was the free chair
massage. It included, stroking, kneading and
percussion. Surprisingly there were more
men who wanted massage then women.
Our male and female body-workers massaged
old, young and in between. Some were
treated to the sensation of an electric
vibro-massager.
There was active participation by several of
the young people at the Church. Here Katelyn
practices percussion.
This last station confirmed that our
communities are filled with people who will
accept spiritual aid if they are sought out.
Here Brother John identifies their challenges
and interests and gives advice, literature and
prayer. Here Sister Loida translates for John.

Sunday afternoon March 29th, John and Windy left their Church family at the Health Fair in
Indianapolis, loaded up the van and head southwest to Huntingdon Tennessee. They
made the 6 hour trip to uphold the hands of their fellow Health Evangelists Thomas and
Laverne Jackson. they run a health ministry called "MEET Ministry" --Missionary Education
and Evangelistic Training. MEET is in the second month of their 120-day Health and Gospel
training school. They are located approximately 90 miles west of Nashville.
John conducted 12 meetings in four days on the Gospel as revealed in the Sanctuary
Message. He covered such subjects as: The Purpose of the Sanctuary, The Events in the
Plan of Redemption, The Experiences in the Plan of Redemption, What the Sanctuary
teaches about our Private Devotional Time, among other classes.
John also taught a class on the False Systems of Healing in which the students examined
secular documentation addressing the reasons why Christian health workers should not be
involved in: Guided Imagery, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Reflexology, all forms of Hypnotism
and Iris Diagnosis. He addressed --from the Scriptures-- the common fallacy that Christians
should only talk about "good things" and not expose the bad".
Part of the two hours devoted to this subject was spent examining the mistake of using
prescribed medications for every ache and pain, instead of lifestyle changes. Both the
Scriptures and secular documentation were used in this class.
John also taught a two hour class on the use of nature's products for poulticing. The
students enjoyed both the theory and lab for using charcoal, clay, onion, aloe vera, potato
and garlic for various conditions.
The current batch of MEET Ministry students come from such exotic places as Canada, New
Zealand, Indonesia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, New York and Alabama. There were local
students from Tennessee also. John and Windy were happy to assist at M.E.E.T.
Construction Begins on African Bible Training School April 13th- May 11th, 2009 Accra, Ghana
|
The wonderful dream which has been on hold for three years took
a big leap forward when, on this latest trip to Ghana, construction
began in earnest on the new Temple Restored Office and Bible
Training School. The beautiful 4.4 acre piece of country property is
near the town of Kasoa, a large suburb West of the capital, Accra.
John was extremely busy on this four-week, whirlwind trip. He was
blessed to start the 26' by 50' two-story building while
strengthening a new partnership with the neighboring SDA
orphanage. While the original plan to conduct an Evangelistic series
did not pan out, He was privileged to visit and encourage four
separate congregations scattered across the country.
On this trip John was impressed to inaugurate a new Bible
distribution program for newly baptised Church members. He also
was able to make arrangements for a local Evangelist to plan an
Evangelistic series later this summer.

Here is a view of part of the property. It is on a
gentle slope overlooking the distant city. It has a
few banana and papaya trees already growing there.
Friday evening April 17th, John was able to visit
Akaporiso Church where he conducted his first
Evangelistic series five years ago. The Church is
still going strong. Here John is being introduced
to several new baptismal candidates who are
currently taking studies at the Church.
The following day, Sabbath April 18th, John and
brother Gabriel drove several hours in order to
preach and teach at the Church in Sefwi Bekwai.
Temple Restored was able to surprise the Church
with a gift of Bible children's felts for the Sabbath
school class. Before this gift the children had
absolutely nothing to help them learn the Bible.
The bulk of John's time was spent securing
materials and working on the foundation. Here
one of the local workers sets down one 6 inch
block. They are made by pounding a mix of
sand, cement and water into a metal mold that
looks like a large bread pan. They are then
cured in the sun for three days before using.
With the help of an architect a wooden perimeter
was staked out. Strings were then stretched
across this frame to pinpoint exactly where the
foundation walls would be laid. The architect used
the measurements of the Pythagorean triangle to
insure that the corners were 90 degrees.
After mapping out where the foundation walls
would go, we then began the difficult job of
digging the trenches (with pick axes and shovels)
which were 1.5' wide and 3' deep. All of the
interior walls for the bedrooms, kitchen and
bathrooms required foundation trenches as well.
After the trenches were dug and several inches
of gravel and cement were poured and leveled,
the footer walls were built up with courses of
solid 6" block. These 40 pound blocks were
carried over in 90 degree heat on the heads of
workers who were paid roughly a dollar an hour.
Here Kwame the mason re-shapes bricks along
the foundation wall of one of the 16' by 26" bed-
rooms. Along the wall (approximately every 10-12
feet) a pillar with re-bar was poured to give the
building strength and stability. The pillars will
extend to the full height of the building.
After the foundation walls were completed the
whole area was back-filled with sand. This sand
was soaked with water and tamped down to
form a solid base for the concrete floor of the first
story. The process of adding sand then water
was repeated until the area was filled and packed.
After three weeks of toiling in the hot sun the
masons were finally ready to pour the 5"
concrete floor. The sand, gravel, cement and
water that made this slab was mixed by hand
on a concrete pad on the ground. It took six
men three hard days to finish this floor.
On the weekends in between working on the
building site, John continued to preach and
teach at different Churches. Here the local
Temple Restored Director Gabriel Brew translates
as John prays before his Sabbath Sermon at
Dansoman Church in Accra. The subject this
morning was on Psalms chapters 4 and 5.
The last Church John ministered to was a new
congregation in a town outside Accra called
Dodowa. Here the Elders (and wives) are receiving
28 Bibles (wrapped in white paper) which were
presented to the Church by Temple Restored
Ministry. It is very common for these small
impoverished congregations to have 50-75% of its
members attending without owning a Bible.
Mid-America Sisterhood of Churches Camp Meeting Ozone, Arkansas June 10th-14th, 2009
|
John and Windy were privileged to make the 14-hour drive
South to a small wooded camp ground in Northwest Arkansas
where they worshipped and fellowshipped with several of
their brothers and sisters from Oklahoma, Arkansas and
Tennessee.
The over-arching theme of the four-day Camp Meeting was
"Shelter in the Coming Storm". The five scheduled speakers
were: Mike Bauler, Barry Mellor, Bill Hughes, Shelem Flemons
and John Skeete. Very little time was spent talking about the
details of the coming economic, political and spiritual crisis;
instead the speakers focused on the spiritual preparation. The
titles of John's four meetings were: The Shelter of the
Atonement, The Shelter of God's Tabernacle (part one and
two) and The Key to Acquiring Divine Shelter.
Besides the quality Bible instruction there was an abundance
of good conversation, good music and good food.
The weather alternated between beautiful sunshine
and heavy rain. Here a few of us are avoiding the
rain under the eave between meetings.
These are just some of the over 70-80 people
that attended the spiritual retreat. John and
Windy had never done meetings in Arkansas
before and were delighted to meet new family.
John's emphasis was on the experience we all
must have to be ready for the coming storm.
The key text for all of his meetings was Isa.
4:2-6. The cleansed Church will be protected.
The enemy was busy as usual. A severe thunder
storm knocked out the power cancelling power
point programs and sending us outside for lack of
lighting. A tornado even touched down not far away.
Healthy, yet tasty vegan meals were made
available for the entire weekend in the cafeteria.
Meal time was employed in meeting new friends.
The meals were prepared by Tina, Laurel, Sheri
and Mary from a local Bible-based Health Ministry
called "Wellness Secrets".
Here officers from Mid America meet with reps.
from other Churches to see how they can work
more closely together to advance the truth.
Gazeley Fellowship Health Camp Meeting Houghton, England August 7th-9th, 2009
|

Early August found the Temple Restored Ministry in the notoriously
irreligious United Kingdom. Present Truth Adventism has a small
footprint in this country of 61 million people.
John's program outlined the various specific difficulties God's
people will face in the last days. They were then shown some of
the scientific information which explains why proper care of the
body can make them better prepared for weariness, hunger, cold,
heat, and even persecution. It was emphasized that: "Anything
that lessens physical strength enfeebles the mind, and makes it less
capable of discriminating between right and wrong...less capable of
choosing the good...less strength of will to do that which we know
to be right."
Sabbath morning's study period was devoted to examining what
the Bible has to say about diet; with special emphasis on how
appetite uncovers the inner condition of the heart. The 11:00
hour was a sermon entitled: "The Temple and Three Kings" which
examined how the stories of King Ahaz, King Hezekiah and King Josiah greatly help the NT
Christian to understand the work of polluting, cleansing and repairing his body temple.
On Sabbath afternoon about 100 saints were blessed to hear Windy's program: "Cleansing for
Health and Holiness. In which the biblical, historical and scientific reasons for assisting the organs of
elimination were examined. Windy employed a few practical demonstrations in her presentation
which sparked many questions during break time. Windy's presentation on cleansing was followed
by John's 90 minute slide program entitled: "Right Thinking: How are Mental and Physical Habits
Influence the Mind".
On Sunday morning the 25-30 people that stayed were treated to two 60-minute practical classes
on "Medicinal Plants" and "Things you can do to Improve Your Health".
Here is Windy standing in front of the Queen
Victoria memorial just in front of Buckingham
Palace. Queen Victoria reigned for 63 years
during an era of industrial, political, scientific
and military progress.
Windy is here sharing her Sabbath afternoon
lecture on cleansing. She had some interesting
graphics on air pollution in London as well as
instructions on three different programs that
could be done in the privacy of your own home.
Here two motivated sisters assist Windy in
her Herbal Applications Class. The limited
time was employed in making a comfrey
liniment, an onion cough syrup and some
yarrow suppositories.
Besides conducting five health lectures John had
an initial planning meeting with Marley, Reggie
Wright and John Noel to organizie a 30 day
Present Truth Health and Gospel school in
London in the spring of 2010.
Sunday morning John conducted a class
entitled: "Twelve Things You Can Do to
Improve Your Health". This class was loaded
with practical suggestions on how to improve
nutrition, sleep habits, exercise, back pain etc.
The students were up out of the chairs
swinging, twisting, stretching, high-
stepping, trampolining and ...in various other
ways... perfecting their faith by their works.
Northwest Convocation & October Meeting Seattle, Washington September 16th-20th, 2009
|
It was John’s privilege to be one of the featured speakers at the Northwest Convocation near Seattle Washington
September 16th-20th. John was blessed to be able to share with between 80-150 people on the theme “Power for a
Finished Work”. Pastor Dave Westbook was the other main speaker for the four-day weekend. While Pastor Westbrook
spoke on the order and importance of the closing events, the four slide programs John shared were aimed at giving
practical suggestions for new victories in our physical, mental and spiritual habits.
NW Convocation was highlighted by numerous testimonies of
mission projects currently being carried forward by the Camp
meeting attendees.
This evening I was able to share the historical,
biblical and archeological evidence which explains
the Mark of the first beast of Revelation 13.
The first week of October found Windy and John back in
Indiana preaching at the Indianapolis Church of SDA Believers
on the subject of the preparation for translation. By God’s
grace John was also able to assist a team of workers who
were putting on a Revelation Seminar on the West end of
Indianapolis. Tuesday evening October 14, 2009 he shared a
111 slide power-point program on The Mark of the Beast. The
tables in the rented building were arranged in a horseshoe
shape so that the participants could compare notes and get
to know each other.
This Revelation Seminar was one of five conducted
simultaneously city wide. For several weeks this group
and others studied the book of Revelation and its
importance for the times if which we live.
